THE Beginning
My mother, Jan developed lung cancer at the young age of 57 and passed at age 60. She was a loving wife, friend, mother and doting grandmother. Her disposition during her illness set the stage for those around her. Her acceptance of her fate encouraged a sense of calmness and helped me move forward without anger or disappointment. Don’t get me wrong, she did not simply give into the diagnosis – she fought the good fight. I am sure there were days when she was frustrated, but she fought knowing her time was limited, choosing to spend it in joy and laughter, with family and friends. Today I live my life each day as fully as I can, taking advantage of every small moment and trying not to leave things unsaid. So, after many years (15 to be exact) I am putting my voice out there... launching this blog, pursuing a book and new coaching career but mostly I want to reach an audience where together we can work through lingering pain and create our own individual, healing path. This is Sano Via - a healing path - my journey and yours. A space to explore and voice without judgment, to ask questions and gain insight, to travel through grief to the other side, to grow and learn and heal.
